You can become a 'non-smoker' in only one session, with no follow up sessions usually required and no withdrawal symptoms.

It matters not how many years you have been a smoker or how many cigarettes, or cigars you smoke per day, with a little commitment from you, you can become a healthy “non smoker” in just one session!

This treatment is not a temporary fix, it is permanent and you will finish your session with no desire for a cigarette, no withdrawal symptoms, no irritability and no urge to snack between meals.

Aside from the obvious health benefits of quitting, if you smoke 20 cigarettes a day you will spend around £2500 over the course of a year.

A lot of people use cigarettes as a coping mechanism whenever they encounter a stressful situation, but the fact of the matter is that non-smokers encounter difficult situations too and handle them perfectly well without a cigarette.

Part of most stop smoking sessions will involve learning effective stress management techniques to replace the flawed strategy of reaching for a cigarette, so that you are prepared to face any situation as a happy, healthy non-smoker.

What’s in a cigarette?

Nicotine is the most widely known chemical in a cigarette, but many people are amazed to learn that a cocktail of over 4500 chemicals are released when tobacco is burnt. These chemicals help the cigarette to taste better, burn more slowly and get you hooked while the tobacco industry continues to make billions of pounds annually, and killing people in the process. Some of these chemicals include the following:

Cadmium, ammonia, methanol, isoprene, acetone, DDT, propane, carbon monoxide, tar, hydrogen cyanide, foraldehyde, hydrocyanic acid, benzene, methyl nitrate and methane.

In addition to these chemicals various other substances may be present as a result of the plantation environment and the conditions in which the harvested leaf is stored and shipped.

When given the choice logically nobody would want to contaminate their body in this way, but the subconscious mind, the seat of our emotional impulses does not work logically. If you smoke today and you ask yourself, "am I glad I started smoking" the conscious part of your mind will normally answer "no", but you might still feel a need for a cigarette.

Through hypnotherapy your subconscious mind can be reached and change can take place. Many talk therapies out there aim to resolve subconscious problems by conscious talk which is akin to trying to fix a car without being able to get under the bonnet. For stop smoking therapy only hypnotherapy can help you get "under the bonnet" and learn to manage those cravings at a subconscious level.

Replacing cigarettes with NRT products is counterproductive

Psychologists know that it is much easier to replace a habit than to quit one. The problem with NRT products is that you aren’t really replacing the habit; rather you are taking nicotine in a different form.

Reducing the amount of nicotine you take into your body gradually will have the effect of increasing the value your body places on it and your cravings for it also!

When you consider that nicotine patches and  drugs like Zyban have a success rate of only about 6%, its hardly surprising. Zyban is also known to be linked with fatalities every year in the UK, unlike hypnotherapy which is 100% safe.

The vast majority of people who visit a Hypnotherapist do so in order to give up smoking, approximately 60%, so you won't be alone. When you consider that nicotine patches and drugs like Zyban have a success rate of only about 6% its hardly surprising.

Some of the benefits of quitting

  • Your body fitter, healthier, stronger, reaching its full potential.

  • Far more more being tired and lethargic all day long.

  • Freedom and relief, .no longer a slave to cigarettes, no longer caught in a vicious circle which is silently killing you.

  • Blood pressure falling or moving nearer to normal (one of the first physiological changes).

  • Skin looking and feeling much healthier and younger looking.

  • No longer smelling like a dirty, filthy ashtray or feeling like a social leper.

  • No longer facing the 1 in 3 risk of being one of the 120,000 people who die needlessly and often painfully of smoking related illness every year in the UK.

  • Financilly better off by more than £2000 for the average smoker!

  • Libido higher.

  • More in control of your life

The largest ever scientific study comparing ways of breaking the habit was conducted in 1992 and reported in New Scientist Magazine. - “Hypnosis is the most effective way of giving up smoking”  New Scientist Magazine - October 1992

The report told of a research project to find the most effective way to give up smoking. Frank Schmidt and research student Chockalingam Viswesvaran of the University of Iowa carried out a meta-analysis, statistically combining the results of more than 600 studies involving almost 72,000 people. This was a major breakthrough but unfortunately hasn’t come to the attention of the national press when they give examples of methods of quitting smoking.

In 1968 Von Dedenroth reported in the American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis a stop smoking success rate of 94% over an 18-month period with no less than a 1,000 smokers.

Some important points on hypnosis

  • It is a cooperative endeavour between the therapist and the client.

  • You can not be made to do anything against you will.

  • Hypnosis is a state of heightened self-awareness, not a state in which you can be controlled by someone else!

Our sessions are tailor-made to you as an individual and are quite interactive enabling us to deal with any underlying emotional issues such as stress etc. which in the past may have been contributing towards your desire to reach for a cigarette. Most people require only ONE SESSION lasting approximately 1 – 1 ½ hours and costs £75.00.

I was once a 20 - 30 a day smoker myself so I know how exactly how it feels.

Will it work for me?

We have helped lots of people from all walks of life to become smoke free. If you are committed to applying yourself to the session and you are determined to live a life free of cigarettes, success will be yours. Our success rate is very important to us, so if we think you are not ready to quit we will let you know during your initial consultation and recommend that you come back at a later date when you are ready.

If you are still in any doubt about the benefits of quitting smoking, I would like to introduce you to Bryan, a young man in his early thirties.

I must warn you however that some of the images are very distressing and not for the faint hearted.

Incidentally, Bryan was very keen that these photos be shown to warn others of the dangers of smoking. He wanted you to know....
